Since the beginning of the 1960s, Lamy has followed the Bauhaus principle in his corporate philosophy and products: to implement functional design according to the principle of "form follows function". The beginning of this era was marked in 1966 by the LAMY 2000 piston fountain pen, created by Bauhaus designer Gerd A. Müller.
The entire company is geared towards developing outstanding and affordable design: also part of the Bauhaus philosophy. At the same time, Lamy is produced in a particularly sustainable way, completely in Germany.
