The Classic Rollerball from Graf von Faber-Castell is particularly interesting for lovers of smaller but at the same time heavy writing instruments, as the rollerball has a diameter of only 0.85 cm at the recessed grip. For people with large and strong hands, it is therefore only recommended to a limited extent due to its diameter.

The rollerball has the same elaborately designed cap as the fountain pen. The clip is assembled from several parts with precision craftsmanship and spring-loaded. This ensures a firm hold for years to come. The thread between front part and housing is made of metal. This prevents breakage or wear and tear.

The materials used for the Classic Rollerballs are: Pernambuco wood: the country of origin of pernambuco wood is Brazil. It has a reddish brown colour and is a particularly hard and resistant wood. The natural reddish brown colour of the wood is underlined by a layer of wax applied by hand. Pernambuco wood is also used to make violin bows.

Ebony: The ebony for the writing instruments comes from Madagascar. Ebony has a matt black colour and is a very dense and hard wood. It may occasionally have small reddish-brown grains, but this is not a lack of quality, but the clear characteristic of a natural material. Ebony is also used in instrument making, e.g. for high-quality piano keys.

Grenadilla wood: Grenadilla wood belongs to the ebony family. It's a little denser and firmer. The grenadilla wood used comes from Kenya and is deep brown in colour. It is mainly known from classical instrument making and is mainly used for oboes and clarinets.

At the end of the treatment, all woods are given a wax layer applied by hand, which underlines the structure and colour.

As with all high-quality writing instruments from Graf von Faber-Castell, the Classic is also very customer-oriented in terms of complaints and warranty, even after statutory product liability has expired.

The Classic Series rollerballs stand out clearly from the mass of rollerballs. Its high weight, its slim, reduced form and the prominent clip in combination with the material of the surface make it unique.

With the large selection of variants, it offers the right thing for every taste: Pernambuco, ebony, grenadilla, platinum-plated or solid 925 sterling silver.
