The nib of the dialog 3 is made of 14-K/585 gold and partially platinum-plated. It is ground to a very round shape and thus enables soft writing. The surface is made of polished palladium glossy white. Palladium is a metal from the group of platinum metals.

The clear and reduced form of the fountain pen was created by the Swiss designer Franco Clivio.

When unscrewing the spring, the clip is lowered at the same time. When closing, also by turning, a ball valve automatically slides in front of the opening and protects the retracted spring from drying out and from dirt. At the same time the clip lifts, so that the fountain pen is ready to be put into a shirt or jacket.

The Lamy dialog 3 continues the series of solitary writing instruments in which Lamy collaborates with world-renowned designers. It is delivered in an elegant wooden case with ink cartridge and converter. The dialog 3 is the only fountain pen from Lamy in which the converter or ink cartridge must be pressed onto the ink feed by hand.

A writing instrument for people with large hands. The weight distribution on the front area is very comfortable, so that in combination with the gold nib, no pressure is needed for writing.
