The K 600 can be classified in the light weight class with its weight of 24.5 g. The ballpoint pen's centre of gravity is in the rear area, so that it should rest between the thumb and index finger.

The length of 12.8 cm in combination with a diameter of 1.05 cm determines its suitability for small to medium hand sizes. The large capacity refills are interchangeable and compatible with Parker refills.

With the K 600, Pelikan offers a medium-weight ballpoint pen for small to medium hand sizes.

In contrast to the K 400, the K 600 has a very durable turning mechanism. The shaft is made of precious resin, combined with the cellulose acetate specially developed for Pelikan.

The fittings are either gold-plated or silver-plated. The turning mechanism is made of brass.
