Sonnenleder bags, accessories and balls are created from one of the most valuable raw materials - genuine natural leather. Only carefully selected southern German cowhides are used. They are a rarity and are among the best cowhide available. We obtain this valuable resource from suppliers with whom we have maintained good relationships for decades. As soon as the leather arrives in our workshop, it is carefully sorted and classified - each piece is unique with its individual surface structure and beautiful colour shades. The unique character is created by the purely vegetable pit tanning, a traditional, very gentle process according to an old traditional recipe. Genuine sun leather captivates with fascinating color nuances, lively surfaces, a special, velvety feel and pleasant, subtle fragrance.

Over time and with use, patina develops on the surface of our leather. And that is a good sign. Because a real patina can only develop on high-quality, pure and, if possible, untreated natural leather. The less the surface has been adulterated, the more precious the leather. In its perfect state, it gives Sonnenleder bags, accessories and balls an unmistakable look. It tells of everything experienced - of sun, rain and other everyday stories. This is how genuine Sonnenleder becomes durable in the most beautiful way and the perfect, faithful companion.
