Sonnenleder bags, accessories and balls are made of one of the most valuable raw materials - genuine natural leather. Only carefully selected South German cattle skins are used. They are a rarity and belong to the best cowhides of all. We obtain this valuable resource from suppliers with whom we have maintained good relationships for decades. As soon as the leather arrives in our workshop, it is carefully sorted and classified - each piece is unique with its individual surface structure and beautiful shades of colour. The unique character is created by the purely vegetable pit tanning, a traditional, very gentle process according to an old recipe that has been handed down through the ages. Genuine sun leather captivates with fascinating colour nuances, lively surfaces, a special, velvety touch and a pleasant, discreet scent.
>br> Over time and with use, the patina develops on the surface of our leather. And this is a good sign. Because a real patina can only develop on high-quality, pure and, if possible, untreated natural leather. The less the surface is distorted, the more precious the leather. In perfect condition it gives the bags, accessories and balls of Sonnenleder an unmistakable look. It tells of everything that has been experienced - of sun, rain and other everyday stories. Thus genuine Sonnenleder becomes durable in the most beautiful way and a perfect, faithful companion.
