Piston fountain pen with 14-K/585 gold nib. Body made of precious resin and cellulose acetate. Suitable for small to medium hand sizes.

The ideal grip position is in the recessed grip near the spring. Weight class Lighter. The centre of gravity of the filler is in the middle.

Very durable and stable piston mechanism. Three years warranty from the manufacturer. The nib is replaced on site, including the ink feeder. Piston fountain pen with differential piston mechanism (This mechanism makes filling faster and with less effort, since two different thread pitches inside the fountain pen ensure that the spindle turns faster inside than the outer filling handle).

Some of the sovereign series is also called Stresemann, in reference to the striped suits of the Foreign Minister of the Weimar Republic. It was not until the 1980s that the series was called Souverän.

With the M 600 Pelikan offers a light piston fountain pen for small to medium hand sizes. Like its little brother, the M 400, it has a 14-K/585 gold nib with a rhodium finish.

The tank volume of 1.3 ml is identical for both models (M 400 and M 600). The shaft and the piston mechanism are made of precious resin, combined with the cellulose acetate specially developed for Pelikan. The fittings are either gold-plated or silver-plated. Pelikan offers a three year warranty on these fountain pens.
